When you juggle five LLM API providers—DeepSeek, OpenRouter, Moonshot, Zhipu, MiniMax—one of the most annoying rituals is bouncing between their dashboards after every model switch to check what balance or quota is left. dsh-balance collapses that into a single chip at the bottom of the DeepSeek Harness sidebar. It detects the provider behind your active model, fetches the matching balance or remaining quota, and flips automatically the instant you change models, removing the mental overhead of tracking which key you are using and how much is left.

The chip also carries a billing-window awareness layer. For DeepSeek, the status dot turns red during the Monday-to-Friday peak window (Beijing 09:00–12:00 and 14:00–18:00) and green off-peak, when requests are charged at half rate. For the other four providers, the dot simply signals whether the remaining balance or quota is healthy. Data auto-refreshes every 60 seconds, on click, or the moment the model changes. Credentials never cross the wire to the browser; the host resolves the key and relays only a normalized amount. The whole package ships at roughly 11 kB gzipped, pulls in zero runtime dependencies, applies no patches to the Harness source, and leaves nothing behind when removed.
