About this plugin
When working with an AI through the DSH Web GUI, the draft sitting in the input box is often loose and unstructured, and several manual rewrites are needed to get it right—each one pulling you out of flow. BetterInput places a single button next to the model selector; one click streams an optimized version of your draft, writing it back incrementally so you can watch it take shape and keep editing on the fly, with a full undo stack if you change your mind.
The prompt system is split into a base system prompt and a list of append prompts that layer on top without replacing it. Two built-in seeds (Concise, Spec) ship out of the box, and you can add any number of named append prompts from the settings page, switching between them instantly. Reasoning models surface a live thinking panel during generation, then tuck it into the menu for later review. Every textarea on the page also receives a small badge—click it to run the same streaming optimization and undo flow directly in that field.
