In the Harness web client, the actions you reach for most—start a new chat, switch model, toggle permissions, fire off a slash command, flip the theme, jump to a settings page—are scattered across menus and side panels. dsh-plugin-cmdk brings the ⌘K (Ctrl+K) command-palette pattern familiar from ChatGPT, Slack, and Linear into Harness: one fuzzy-search box that unifies every one of those actions, so a couple of letters and an enter takes you where you need to go without hunting through nested menus.

The catalog is rebuilt from live services every time the palette opens, which means anything another plugin contributes—a new conversation tab, a new settings page, a new slash command—shows up automatically with zero configuration on your end. The UI is hand-rolled in React at roughly 9 kB gzipped, makes zero network calls, ships no telemetry, and registers exactly one overlay plus one keydown listener. Sub-page navigation (e.g. drilling into a reasoning-effort picker), recent-command boosting on an empty query, and an optional dsh-session-search companion for cross-conversation full-text search round out the workflow.

It is built for keyboard-first developers who want Harness to feel as fluid as Slack or Linear, and it shines in multi-workspace, multi-model, multi-session setups where every context switch used to cost the most focus.
