Anyone who lives in the DeepSeek Harness web GUI will eventually grow tired of the same flat, unchangeable background staring back at them each morning. dsh-background layers a personal canvas behind the interface: drop in a local photo, a GIF/WebP animation, or even a short video as wallpaper, and when no image is set it falls back to a built-in aurora gradient with separate light and dark palettes that track your theme.

On top of that canvas sits a small set of tuning sliders for overlay darkening, fade-to-theme, background blur, and overall opacity, plus independent frosted-glass blur radius and glass opacity dials that keep the input bar and sidebar in sync. Every change applies the instant you release the slider with no page refresh needed, and all settings persist on the host side so they survive a restart. Uploaded wallpapers live in a dedicated media folder you can browse, swap, and delete from the same panel.
