When you lean on the DeepSeek API for daily coding, that tiny context-usage circle next to the send button tells you how many tokens you have burned but never how much money is left on the account. dsh-api-balance opens that popup into a two-tab panel: the original usage view stays where it is, and a new Balance tab reveals your remaining credit, daily / monthly / 30-day spend broken down by model, and a small trend chart—no more tab-hopping to the console to hunt down an invoice.

Token handling is largely invisible: by default the plugin scans your local browser session for an existing DeepSeek login token, with a manual paste field only as a fallback. If you are on a peak/off-peak billing plan, the panel flags peak hours in red and a TTS voice line (browser built-in or a custom endpoint) reads out which rate tier you are currently in, so you do not have to squint at graphs to guess.
