The DeepSeek Harness Web UI ships with only two interface languages out of the box: Chinese and English. For Japanese speakers, every label, tooltip, and settings field remains in a non-native tongue. dsh-locale-ja closes that gap by injecting a Japanese option into DSH's language selector so that the entire UI—buttons, prompts, and configuration panels—renders in Japanese. The translation dictionary spans 42 namespaces with 1,257 UI strings; any entry not yet covered gracefully falls back to English, so you never see blank placeholders. When Japanese is active, the plugin automatically switches to the OS-standard Japanese system font, eliminating the visual clash that mixed CJK glyph rendering can cause. Your language choice is persisted as a DSH setting: it survives page reloads, browser restarts, and even connects from a second device to the same DSH host. Switching back to Chinese or English is always one click away. If you decide the plugin is no longer needed, uninstalling it cleanly removes the dictionary, font rules, and the extra language option, while the saved language preference remains intact—reinstalling brings the Japanese UI right back with zero reconfiguration. This lightweight add-on is a natural fit if you work through DSH's browser interface for development, teaching, or team collaboration and prefer to see everything in Japanese, or if your multilingual team needs to move freely among Chinese, English, and Japanese without friction.
