petween-physics

petween gives your desktop pet drag-and-drop interaction, but once you place it somewhere it just sits there politely. petween-physics fills that gap: flick the pet with a quick release and it launches at the speed your hand was moving, drops under gravity, bounces off the viewport walls, and can even play a squash animation or swap to a new expression on impact. When the bounce height drops below a threshold it transitions to a ground slide with friction deceleration before settling firmly — the whole sequence feels like bouncing a rubber ball.

Once it settles, the position is persisted automatically. Switch away and come back, and the pet is still parked in that corner. Mid-flight you can grab it back at any moment; the user always wins over physics. Every parameter — gravity, restitution, throw multiplier, bounce animation, ground friction — lives on a single settings card, auto-saves within 300 ms of the last edit, and takes effect on the very next frame. No restart, no code changes.
