DeepSeek splits its API pricing into peak (full price) and off-peak (discounted) windows defined in UTC, and those boundaries do not line up with your local clock. While you are deep in a conversation it is easy to lose track of which tier you are paying for right now. dsh-peaktime-clock turns that invisible schedule into a glanceable visual cue: an animated whale sits in the bottom-right corner of the Harness web UI, turning red during peak windows and green during off-peak ones, so a quick peripheral glance is all you need to confirm whether the next request is full price or discounted.

The pill behind the whale simultaneously shows a live countdown to the next window boundary (for example 1h 23m or 04m 12s) and your local time, fully DST-aware. Hovering over the widget reveals a tooltip with the current window, its UTC range, the complete daily schedule, and the exact local date and time including your UTC offset. Everything runs locally in the browser. There are no network requests, no telemetry, and no configuration files to edit.

If you routinely run long DeepSeek sessions in the Harness and want a heads-up a few minutes before a peak window starts so you can pause, batch, or switch to a cheaper path, this whale is the lightest possible reminder. It does not change any API behavior; it simply turns a table of UTC hours in your head into a breathing red-and-green signal in the corner of your chat window.
