About this plugin
Running several MCP connections in DeepSeek Harness Web means constantly diving into the settings panel to check which ones are live and which have dropped. dsh-mcp-pill condenses that ritual into a small status pill docked in a corner of the chat input box: every configured connection is visible at a glance, and a single click toggles it on or off without leaving the conversation.
The pill is hidden by default. Flip the "Show status pill" switch in the official-style settings card and it mounts to a corner of the composer seat within one status poll. Drag it to hop between the four corners; the anchor persists in localStorage so it returns to where you left it. It renders at the composer seat's normal stacking level, so DSH modals, menus, and toasts cover it naturally instead of getting trapped underneath. Status reads and toggles go through a loopback-fenced RPC that prefers DSH 0.1.2+ remote.settings with capability detection; on older RC hosts it falls back to the legacy connection API automatically, with no manual config changes.
If your DSH Web profile carries two or more MCP toolchains, or you have just upgraded to 0.1.2 and want a quick visual confirmation that the new remote.settings path is active, this pill turns "check and flip" into a sub-second gesture instead of a settings-panel scavenger hunt.
Use Cases
- Monitoring several MCP connections at a glance without opening the settings panel
- Toggling an MCP connection on or off mid-conversation without losing context
- Verifying that DSH 0.1.2 remote.settings is active or that the legacy fallback kicked in
Best For
- Developers running two or more MCP toolchains in DSH Web daily
- Users who just upgraded to DSH 0.1.2 and want a visual confirmation of the new path
- Developers who prefer a sub-second corner indicator over repeated settings-panel dives
