About this plugin

Writing a long-form novel usually means battling three enemies: character drift by chapter thirty, world-building details that no longer line up, and an unmistakable AI voice that yanks readers out of the story. dsh-novel-craft takes all three head-on. It ships structured character cards (five-dimension template with S/A/B/C tiers) and a five-file state pack that bundles writing conventions, established facts, foreshadowing, character status, narrative hooks, and plot threads into every chapter context. The state is written back after each chapter, so chapter N still knows what chapter one established.

On the craft side, the plugin enforces thirteen banned AI-tell patterns plus genre style directives, constraining phrasing at generation time. On the cost side, every turn is priced according to official DeepSeek peak-and-off-peak rates and logged to a daily ledger, with balance queries built in, so writers know exactly what a chapter costs without doing the math.

Built for writers already using DeepSeek Harness on mid-to-long projects: no extra dependencies to install, just a get_state, write_chapter, update_state rhythm per chapter, and you get character consistency, anti-AI styling, and cost visibility in one workflow.
