About this plugin
The DSH web settings page originally lacked direct entry points for configuring a vision engine, long-term memory, the plugin ecosystem, and local inference models. Users often had to hop between multiple tools just to tweak these. dsh-plus consolidates those four most-touched panels into a single Settings page so that adjusting parameters, installing plugins, and wiring up local models become one-click tasks.
The Vision panel lets you set the image-understanding provider, base URL, API key (auto-masked), and model. The Memory panel tunes cross-session memory thresholds for auto-injection, auto-summarization, and dream-cleaning. The Plugin Marketplace searches GitHub projects tagged dsh-plugin, supports one-click install, and shows an at-a-glance list of what is already installed. The Local Model panel auto-detects Ollama and LM Studio, lists the actual models available, and adds them with a single click. After all changes, one click restarts the engine to apply everything.
It is aimed at developers who already use DSH for daily work and want to fold vision understanding, persistent memory, and local small models into the same workflow. If you run Ollama or LM Studio and are tired of manually entering addresses and ports each time, this plugin removes much of that repetitive setup. DSH Desktop ships with this plugin built in; web users only need a separate install.
Use Cases
- Wiring up Ollama local models for offline inference in DSH
- Configuring cross-session memory so the assistant retains context
- Quickly discovering and installing community-built DSH plugins
Best For
- Daily DSH users who want a unified configuration hub
- Local inference users running Ollama or LM Studio
- Developers looking to extend DSH with vision and ecosystem features
