About this plugin
Mid-session in a long DSH conversation you often want to think through a sub-question, compare alternatives, or deliberate before answering the agent's question dialog, but doing any of that in the main thread tends to derail it. dsh-sidechat opens a real, isolated DSH agent session in a right-side panel so you can reason independently while the main conversation stays untouched.
Every side chat inherits the launching conversation's model, toolset, permission preset, and working directory, and each of those is tunable per chat. Selecting text in the main conversation stages it into the side-chat input; auto-send is opt-in, so nothing goes out until you press Enter. A plus button in the panel header spins up a fresh chat instantly. When you are done with a reply, insert it whole or as a selection into the main composer draft or as a collapsed context row, directly or summarized. Question dialogs from the main agent can be pulled into the side chat for analysis first, then the answer brought back.
Built for anyone running multi-step, complex DSH conversations who wants a quiet thinking space that never disturbs the main flow. The panel is resizable between 280 and 720 pixels and collapsible, and the UI follows the DSH language setting in both Chinese and English.
Use Cases
- A sub-question in the main thread needs independent analysis without deraillering the conversation
- The agent asks a multi-option question; pull it into the side chat to deliberate before answering
- Summarize a side-chat reply and drop it into the main composer to keep the task moving
Best For
- Users running long, multi-step DSH conversations
- Developers who want a scratch reasoning space beside the main thread
- Anyone who values an uninterrupted main flow while keeping a quiet thinking pane
