Reading a several-thousand-word DeepSeek Harness reply in the web client means the composer bar sits fixed at the bottom of the viewport, interrupting your reading flow every single line. dsh-composer-alcove exists to fix exactly that: it does not fork or modify DSH source code. It simply repositions the official composer card so that long-form reading feels unbroken.

Two layers of capability. When you scroll down through a long transcript, the entire composer collapses into a roughly 134 by 5 pixel home-indicator pill that tracks your dark or light theme; hovering previews the expanded height, and clicking pins it open. The second layer uses black corner arcs drawn outside the 22 pixel card radius to slide the full composer, including plus, model switcher, and send, into the left or right gutter, replacing the center slot with a thin hairline matched to the stats caption. All original controls on the side pad remain untouched, and Esc slides everything back to the bottom.
