Starting DeepSeek Harness Web typically required opening a terminal, running a start command, waiting for the server to be ready, and then manually navigating a browser to the correct URL. Whale Desktop Launcher turns all of that into a single desktop icon: double-click it, and the DSH Web service quietly starts in the background, a small floating progress window tracks each phase (service check, server start, readiness wait), and the UI opens in Edge or Chrome app mode—a compact, borderless window with no tabs, address bar, or standard browser chrome.

While the launcher runs, a whale-girl system tray icon stays resident. Hover to see current service status, double-click to re-focus the UI, or use the right-click menu to restart the server or quit (quitting stops the DSH server process as well). The launcher is single-instance: re-clicking the desktop icon simply re-opens the existing UI window. A healthy server already listening on the configured port is reused automatically, so you never spawn duplicate processes. High-DPI rendering is supported, keeping the UI sharp at 150% or 200% scaling.
