About this plugin

The default DSH Web UI looks like every other chat window - white background, gray borders, the same rounded cards. DSH Matrix Skin re-skins the entire interface with a near-black terminal aesthetic: flat dark surfaces, restrained neon accents, and a sharper Think panel, so the screen reads like a lit server-rack window rather than yet another generic chat box.

The most surprising element is the neural rain. It is not a canned loop. Instead it pulls bounded tails from the newest text DSH has already rendered on the page and drives the cascading glyphs frame by frame. A brand-new empty session falls back to the official README as its initial signal until conversation text exists. The plugin only reads capped text tails from rendered elements, never subscribes to the full streaming history, keeps derived buffers in memory, and ships with no network client, telemetry, or storage.

It is built for developers who love terminal and hacker aesthetics and want DSH to look unmistakably different from a stock chat tool, as well as for privacy-sensitive users who reject telemetry and content upload. No configuration is needed after install - just open dsh web and the Matrix skin is live.

Use Cases

  • Making DSH Web look like a focused hacker terminal instead of a generic chat window
  • Enjoying live Matrix neural-rain animation with zero data upload or telemetry
  • Reading model reasoning more clearly through a terminal-styled Think panel during long coding sessions

Best For

  • Frontend or full-stack developers who love Matrix and hacker aesthetics
  • Privacy-sensitive users who reject telemetry and remote data upload
  • Heavy DSH Web users who want a personal, standout look for their daily interface
