DSH already renders and displays images, but the built-in lightbox offers limited zoom, annotation, and multi-image navigation. dsh-native-image-viewer enhances only the viewing experience of images already shown in DSH, without touching sessions, attachments, or model pipelines, and without requiring any vendor credentials.

Core capabilities include mouse-centered scroll zoom, pinch zoom, drag pan, double-click to toggle original size, fit-to-window, keyboard-driven multi-image browsing, one-click original download, and single-click region annotation with inline notes (Enter to save, Shift+Enter for a line break). The entire interface reuses DSH design tokens for automatic light and dark theming, responsive layout, and reduced-motion preferences.

It is ideal for users who frequently review generated images in DSH, as well as developers building image-generation plugins that want to plug follow-up actions into a unified viewer. When the plugin is not installed or cannot recognize a new image structure, DSH native behavior remains completely intact; uninstalling preserves all sessions, attachments, and generated images.
