About this plugin

The default DSH Web skin leans toward a quiet, white-background tool aesthetic. If you want every session to feel like sitting down at a readable instrument terminal, dsh-crt-theme is a browser-only DSH skin built for exactly that. It re-renders the entire interface in a 1990s industrial sci-fi terminal visual language: cut-corner controls, thin diagonal progress tracks, dense vertical context meters, a restrained scanline layer, and a glass-edge vignette, while strictly preserving DSH native control geometry and interaction. No extra routes, tools, or host services are added.

Two complete palettes ship out of the box: Unit-02 pairs black surfaces with red structure, orange controls, and warm amber signal ink for a high-contrast tactical reading feel; Unit-01 shifts to black-violet surfaces, magenta structure, and acid-green signal ink for a cooler synchronized tone. Both can be toggled in one keypress, and global effects such as scanlines, phosphor flicker, and aperture grille can be enabled or disabled independently. Typography prefers a locally installed Orbitron and falls back to bundled system fonts, never fetching remote font files.

This skin is for users who enjoy terminal aesthetics and sci-fi visuals and want a tactile hardware feel in their daily conversation tool. It occupies a single theme-token layer, coexists with plugins like dsh-achievements and dsh-web-preview-float, and fully restores the DSH palette preference the moment it is unloaded, requiring no manual cleanup.

Use Cases

  • Adjust DSH Web's daily conversation interface into a red-orange-amber tactical terminal style
  • Switch between black-violet, magenta, and acid-green visual moods without changing DSH's native interactions
  • Enable scanlines, grille, and phosphor flicker for a longer reading or task-tracking session

Best For

  • Users who enjoy 1990s industrial sci-fi terminal aesthetics
  • Users who want a personalized DSH Web appearance without changing core behavior
  • Readers who prefer dark surfaces, readability, and terminal-style visual rhythm
