It hooks into a real PTY: the host process spawns a genuine system shell via node-pty (ConPTY on Windows), so signals, pipes, color output, and interactive programs behave exactly as they would in your native terminal—no emulation layer in between.

The core experience centers on multi-tab sessions and flexible window layout. Open several shell tabs running different tasks in parallel; collapse the panel and the host-side sessions keep going unperturbed. In dock mode, drag the top edge to resize the height; in float mode, reposition the window freely and resize in any of eight directions. The first session launches in the current workspace directory by default, and subsequent sessions can target any path you choose. The rendering layer is xterm.js 6, giving you full-color output, cursor control, a 5000-line scrollback buffer, and Ctrl+Shift+C/V clipboard shortcuts out of the box.
