The default DSH Web GUI is clean but one-size-fits-all, and staring at the same layout for hours can feel flat. dsh-ui-customizer slots two new sub-menus—Background and Theme—directly into the official settings dialog, so you can reshape the entire interface without leaving DSH or juggling external tools.

Backgrounds accept either images or videos, sourced from a URL or uploaded locally. Uploaded files are persisted in the plugin directory, surviving browser switches and site-data clears. Three real-time sliders for opacity, blur, and darkening let you fine-tune the wallpaper effect, and images get an interactive crop-and-zoom preview. Video backgrounds support mp4, webm, and more with silent looping, and playback position is preserved when you toggle the settings dialog. On the theme side, 50 UI element colors are organized into eight collapsible groups, work under both light and dark modes, and can be saved as named presets together with the current background for instant recall. Forty-two font presets come with automatic local-font detection.

The plugin has zero external dependencies and needs no network access at install time, making it ideal for anyone who lives in DSH Web daily and wants a personal touch. A single DSH Web restart activates everything, and all settings persist across refreshes automatically.
