About this plugin

As your DeepSeek Harness sidebar grows, distinguishing workspaces and sessions by name alone gets painful. dsh-workspace-labels solves this with eight color dots and free-form text tags, all managed inline in the existing context menu—no popups, no extra windows, just click the three-dot menu and go.

Metadata persists locally to ~/.dsh/workspace-labels.json, with automatic migration from legacy browser localStorage on first load. If the Host route is unavailable, a localStorage fallback keeps state intact. The plugin never reads conversation content, never modifies project files, and never contacts third-party services; all calls stay on DSH's same-origin Client-to-Host API. The UI follows your DSH language setting between English and Chinese.

Built for DSH users juggling five or more workspaces at once. No config files, no project restructuring—install, click the dot menu, and turn a wall of grey text into a color-coded, label-annotated sidebar you can actually read at a glance.

Use Cases

  • Distinguish parallel workspaces at a glance using color and label badges
  • Pick colors and manage tags inline in the context menu without popups
  • Local metadata persistence with automatic migration from legacy browser storage

Best For

  • DSH users juggling multiple workspaces and sessions concurrently
  • Developers who rely on visual markers to organize context
  • Users who prefer local storage and avoid third-party services
