dsh-sound-notify

When working with an agent in DSH Web, the moments that matter most—questions, approval requests, task completions—often pass silently, and a half-second of distraction is enough to miss a response window. On top of that, the default background looks the same for everyone. dsh-sound-notify tackles both of these gaps.

Two feature sets do the heavy lifting. For sound, three independent trigger channels (question, approval, task-completed) each accept their own sound preset (upward, downward, ding, single, custom audio file, or mute), volume, repeat count (1–10), and inter-repeat gap (0–5000 ms), with a built-in preview button. Preset tones are scheduled in one pass on the Web Audio clock, so they survive background-tab timer throttling. For background, you can pick a solid color, paste an image URL, or upload a local file, then fine-tune a global overlay and a separate sidebar overlay to balance image clarity against text readability. Every change is written straight to settings.yaml and takes effect immediately—no page reload needed.

This plugin is for developers who spend long sessions in DSH Web, want an audible cue at each critical interaction, and would like to put their own wallpaper behind the work area. MIT licensed, ready to use out of the box.
