After enough hours of prompt-and-response, a coding chat interface can feel sterile and mechanical. dsh-pet-sprite turns the DSH conversation area into a tiny pixel playground: a companion that hops between message bubbles, climbs their edges, naps, and blinks when idle sits quietly in your chat flow. When the model is streaming, it pulls up a miniature laptop and types; the moment you go quiet it wanders and dozes. You can seize the controls with A/D to move, Space to jump, W to climb, take it for a ten-second spin, and then hand it back to autonomous mode.

It is more than a wallpaper mascot. Three built-in companions (Poka the white-haired girl, Mikan the tabby cat, Puff the baby whale) each have distinct personalities, and a full nurture panel on right-click exposes mood, power, health, level (1-100), coins, inventory, and a shop with level-gated, daily-limited items. The economy is tied to real usage: your input tokens drain its power, each completed reply converts output tokens into XP, and leveling up slows attribute decay. Left-clicking the pet opens a small in-character chat that reuses your existing DSH model and credentials. Describe a new companion in one sentence and, for 100 star coins, the model draws a fresh pixel sprite you can export as a .dsh-pet.json file to share.

Built for DSH daily drivers who want a dash of pixel-game whimsy inside their coding workflow. All game state and the last 30 chat turns persist in localStorage. There is no telemetry, zero external network calls, and no data leaves your machine. Open any conversation and the pet is already there, waiting at the bottom of the chat flow.
