Installation is deliberately minimal: the plugin runs git clone --depth 1 into the local data directory and never executes a build script. Once downloaded, the plugin is marked as installed with a one-click path to open its folder on disk. The catalog is fetched live from the community-curated index, with a bundled offline snapshot of 839 plugins as a fallback, so browsing stays available even without a network connection.
