About this plugin
The DSH Web GUI ships with fixed default fonts for both the interface and code blocks, and switching to your own typeface is far from straightforward. dsh-system-fonts was built to solve exactly that: it enumerates every font already installed on your Windows system so you can freely pick a UI font and a code font without preparing any font files yourself.
The plugin reads the Windows registry and font directories to build a de-duplicated, weight-suffix-stripped font list, then presents two dropdowns under Settings → General. Changes apply instantly via the official theme-override API, and your choices persist in browser localStorage across restarts. Installed a new font recently? Hit the refresh button to re-enumerate. Everything lives at the profile layer, so uninstalling leaves zero residue.
This plugin is ideal for Windows users who want a more personal look and feel in DSH, whether that means a softer serif for the UI or a specific monospace for code and terminal output. Windows font enumeration is fully supported today; Linux and macOS support is still on the roadmap, and community contributions to add POSIX font listing (e.g. via fc-list) are welcome.
Use Cases
- Switch DSH's UI to a personal serif typeface
- The default monospace in code blocks feels too narrow
- Just installed a new font and want it live in DSH immediately
Best For
- DSH users who want a personalized look for the Web GUI
- Windows users with multiple fonts installed who want free pairing
- Light-customization users who prefer no manual CSS or font files
