Obsidian Workbench brings the familiar Obsidian experience to DeepSeek Harness, seamlessly integrating local note management with AI chat. By building a three-panel interface within the browser, it solves the friction of constantly switching between a chat window and a file system, allowing you to focus on deep work. The middle column features a CodeMirror 6 editor with live preview and auto-save to ensure your ideas are never lost, while the right column lets you ask questions about the current note or create specific session contexts.

The plugin's core capabilities lie in its integrated file management. The left panel serves as your repository directory, supporting search, drag-and-drop move, rename, and adding file or folder contents directly to the conversation. It implements strict security boundaries, allowing access only to Markdown and text files within the repository root to prevent accidental access to sensitive configurations. This design is ideal for Windows + DSH Web profile users who want to quickly access their local knowledge base and leverage AI assistance for text processing without launching the full Obsidian client.
