Introduction¶
When developing or collaborating using the DeepSeek Harness Web profile, you often need to manage tasks across multiple sessions at the same time. Fragmented task states and cross-workspace task tracking can make operations inconvenient. The dsh-taskboard plugin aims to solve this problem by adding a task board entry to the DSH sidebar, aggregating the latest todo_write projections from all visible DSH sessions, and providing a unified view for management.
Plugin Positioning¶
This is a cross-project task board plugin. It adds a task board button to the DSH Web profile, aggregates the latest todo_write projections from all visible DSH sessions, and labels the workspace and session for each task. The plugin does not maintain a separate task storage, add a server, or write local browser tasks; instead, it relies entirely on DSH native mechanisms.
Installation and Enablement¶
Before installing, make sure your DeepSeek Harness version is compatible with the plugin’s peer dependencies.
- Enter the plugin directory, install dependencies, and build:
pnpm install
pnpm run build
- Install the built local package into the Web profile:
pnpm dsh plugin --profile web add ../dsh-taskboard
- After installation, restart the Web profile for the changes to take effect:
pnpm dsh --profile web
Core Features¶
- Sidebar integration: Adds a task board button to the DSH sidebar.
- Projection aggregation: Aggregates the latest
todo_writeprojections from all visible DSH sessions. - Context labeling: Clearly labels the workspace and session for each task.
- Native state recognition: Uses DSH native lifecycle colors to identify pending and completed tasks.
- Real-time status bar: In-progress tasks display a real-time activity bar rather than a percentage.
Task and Session Operations¶
The board displays the todo projections for all currently visible non-archived sessions.
- Approval and confirmation: In-progress tasks only display the “Agree” or “Confirm” action. Whether “Agree” is shown depends on the pending approval status of the DSH session; whether “Confirm” is shown depends on the plan review status. DSH allows each session to have one in-progress task.
- Batch selection: Hold
Ctrl(Windows/Linux) orCommand(macOS) and click in-progress task cards to batch select their associated sessions. - Archive operation: In the session sidebar, you can open a session and archive it. Archiving calls DSH’s real workspace session archive API and archives the session rather than an individual task. Batch archiving also applies to the selected sessions.
Data and History¶
- Data synchronization: The task list comes from DSH’s persisted
todo/writesession events and updates in real time when visible sessions receive new results. Because DSH owns task creation and state changes, the board list will not diverge from the DSH built-in task tool. - History records: Historical
todo/writeevents remain in session logs, but the plugin does not create separate task history or persisted formats.
Notes¶
- Compatibility: You must use a DeepSeek Harness version that is compatible with the peer dependencies.
- Restart: You must restart the Web profile after installation.
- Scope limitation: The board only displays projections from all currently visible non-archived sessions and does not display historical tasks.
dsh-taskboard provides a lightweight view layer that helps developers manage multi-session tasks more intuitively without introducing an additional storage layer. For more details, refer to the community directory or source code.
