Preface

When building complex workflows with DeepSeek Harness (DSH), plugin topology can become difficult to grasp intuitively. dsh-schematic provides a unified control plane aimed at solving the challenges of visualizing real-time wiring, tracking activity, and safely automating plugin blueprints.

What This Is

dsh-schematic is a DeepSeek Harness plugin positioned as a “control plane for humans and agents.” It is maintained by Mason-1011. Its core value lies in allowing human operators and agent operators to share the same control mechanisms: humans operate through a full-screen visual workspace, while agents perform persistent operations through schematic_* native tools. Both work against the same real-time state, validation rules, and protected write pipeline.

Core Features

The plugin provides the following core capabilities:

  1. Visual real-time wiring and topology: The interface is the graph. It supports exploring live topology or inventory, inspecting dependencies, configuring plugins, switching entries, and replacing providers.
  2. Activity tracking and debugging: Track session events and request journeys, schedule signals, filter noise, and inspect faults or latency. Activity follows ownership, making it easier to identify the source of issues.
  3. Secure automated plugin blueprints: Blueprints describe capabilities rather than fragile snapshots. They support composition by capability, saving local drafts, importing and exporting YAML, checking drift, and safely switching entire plugin combinations. Every risky change receives a preview.
  4. Symmetric operations for humans and agents: Supports English and Chinese. The interface and tools share the same planning, validation, confirmation gating, and backup mechanisms.

Installation and Enablement

Run the following command in the terminal to install the plugin:

dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-schematic

Once installation is complete, start the Web service and access the visual interface:

dsh web
# 然后在浏览器中打开
open http://127.0.0.1:3080/schematic

Typical Usage

In addition to operating through the interface, agents can also manage settings by using the following tools via conversation:

  • View topology and capabilities:
    schematic_plugins
  • Manage blueprints:
    schematic_blueprint_list
    schematic_blueprint_save
    schematic_blueprint_switch
    schematic_blueprint_manage
  • System composition and activity layout:
    schematic_system_compose
    schematic_activity_layout

Applicable Scenarios and Notes

This plugin is suitable for scenarios that require visual management of plugin topology, safe configuration adjustments through agents, or unified observation of runtime activity.

Keep the following points in mind:
1. Edit permissions: Editing is disabled by default. It can be explicitly disabled via config.edit.enabled=false. On mobile devices (width less than 768px), write functionality is automatically disabled.
2. File writing mechanism: Schematic writes only a clearly marked managed block into the active configuration file, cordis.patch.yml, and does not overwrite the source file. If the source file changes under a pending edit, the write operation stops.
3. Blueprint storage: Blueprints exist as readable schema-2 YAML files under ~/.dsh/schematic/blueprints/. Existing schema-1 presets are migrated idempotently and retained as read-only backups.
4. Environment requirements: Requires Node.js version >= 22.19.

In Short

By treating the graph as the interface, dsh-schematic provides the DSH plugin system with an intuitive, secure control plane shared by humans and agents. It addresses the problems of high configuration complexity, lack of visual feedback, and high operational risk.
