In the plugin-based ecosystem of DeepSeek Harness (DSH), memory management typically involves multiple providers. When multiple sources (such as Memory and MSE) produce recall results, context messages can easily become fragmented. The dsh-missher-brain plugin is used to consolidate this type of recall data into a single unified message with source tracking and limit controls.

What It Is

This is a memory-related plugin maintained by user Missher12. It does not store memories itself; instead, it acts as an arbitration layer that merges outputs from Memory and MSE providers and provides a unified configuration entry point.

Core Features

  1. Result consolidation: Integrates recall results from providers such as Memory and MSE.
  2. Service provision: Provides the missherBrain service.
  3. Entry integration: Adds a Memory & Learning entry point in Settings.
  4. Limit control: Supports setting recall limits (up to 6 items / 4000 bytes).
  5. Compatibility: Compatible with Harness 0.1.5-rc.2 and Cordis 4.0.2, and supports Node.js 22.19.0 or 24.0.0 and above.

Installation and Enablement

Run the following command under the Web profile to install it:

dsh plugin --profile web add https://github.com/Missher12/Missher-DSH-Brain/releases/download/v0.1.2/dsh-missher-brain-0.1.2.tgz

After installation, restart or reload the host, then go to Settings → Memory & Learning to check the provider status.

Typical Usage

  1. Go to Settings → Memory & Learning.
  2. Ensure that each provider (such as Memory and MSE) is available in the current environment.
  3. Check the recall configuration in the relevant project.
  4. Note: Do not enable two plugins that provide services with the same missherBrain name at the same time.

Applicable Scenarios and Cautions

  • Does not store memories itself: Brain does not save memories; it only handles consolidation. If no available provider exists, installing the plugin will not automatically generate memories.
  • Updates and uninstallation: Code updates in Git do not automatically replace the plugin already installed on your machine. Removing the plugin will not delete or migrate the Memory/MSE databases.
  • Unofficial product: This is an independently maintained plugin, not an official DeepSeek product.

This plugin manages memory providers through a unified interface, making it suitable for scenarios that require fine-grained control over context length and sources. For more details, refer to the GitHub repository or the skill library directory.
