Preface

When developing agents with DeepSeek Harness (DSH), it is necessary to track the token cost consumed by each turn and each attempt. Existing native features may not meet the need for fine-grained cost control. dsh-price-monitor is a DSH plugin designed specifically to handle session-level API cost monitoring.

Plugin Positioning

This is a session cost monitoring tool. It does not provide a UI by itself; instead, it renders as a tab inside dsh-better-sidebar, used to display per-turn and per-attempt token costs based on official or manual plans.

Prerequisites

First, install and mount dsh-better-sidebar (>= 0.18.0); otherwise, this plugin will not work properly. Because it has no standalone user interface, it renders entirely as a tab inside dsh-better-sidebar. If the other plugin is not installed, the system will refuse to activate and report a missing feature. Additionally, you must select a plan to view rates; otherwise, each request will be listed as unpriced.

Installation and Activation

The plugin is obtained from a GitHub repository. Before installation, ensure that dsh-better-sidebar (>= 0.18.0) is already installed.

Typical Usage

1、Install dsh-better-sidebar (>= 0.18.0) as a prerequisite.
2、Select a plan in the sidebar to view rates.
3、Use official refresh to update the pricing table.

Pricing Mechanism

Pricing is based on official or manual plans. The default official pricing is in CNY, and rates are calculated per million tokens. Both official and manual plan sources are supported.

Notes

  • It has no standalone UI and must rely on dsh-better-sidebar.
  • Official pricing defaults to CNY.
  • The license is MIT.
