Introduction¶
DeepSeek Harness (DSH) uses a plugin-based architecture, and developers often need to adjust the UI to fit their workflows. Manually modifying the Harness source code is cumbersome and can easily be lost during updates. This plugin aims to provide a dark theme solution that does not require touching core files, enabling theme switching through the official settings entry.
Plugin Purpose¶
dsh-theme-acid-noir is an optional theme plugin for DeepSeek Harness Web, maintained by YrracOwl. It provides two dark productivity themes, Acid Noir and Acid Noir Signal, supports official settings integration, and is compatible with DSH 0.1.2’s Client Store. The plugin does not modify Harness files, nor does it force theme switching during installation.
Core Features¶
- Dark productivity themes: Provides two schemes, Acid Noir (a restrained dark color palette with green action buttons) and Acid Noir Signal (enhanced cyan/green signal colors), while maintaining layout readability.
- Official settings integration: Registers a setting via
settings.general.item, allowing users to switch directly in the UI. - Reversible lifecycle effects: Enhanced styles are loaded only while the theme is selected, and are automatically cleaned up when disabled or uninstalled, without affecting native components.
- Compatibility: Compatible with DSH 0.1.2’s Client Store, while retaining the legacy runtime fallback mechanism.
- Non-invasive design: Does not modify Harness source files, and does not forcibly override the current theme during installation.
Installation and Activation¶
- Install the plugin:
Run the following command in the terminal:
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-theme-acid-noir
- Restart the process:
Because the Host scans the plugin list at startup, you must restart the DSH Web process for the theme option to appear in settings. - Select the theme:
Open Settings → General → Acid Noir theme, and choose Acid Noir or Acid Noir Signal.
Typical Usage¶
- Uninstall the theme:
Before uninstalling, you must first select Default appearance in settings; otherwise, the plugin cannot be removed. Run:
dsh plugin --profile web remove dsh-theme-acid-noir
- Local development:
If you need to modify the styles, run the following command in the plugin directory:
dsh plugin --profile web add .
After the initial installation, `dsh web` must be restarted. Subsequent changes will take effect automatically via HMR.
Suitable Scenarios and Notes¶
- Suitable scenarios: Ideal for DSH Web users who prefer a cyber-editorial style and need a dark productivity interface.
- Notes:
- The plugin does not depend on any web fonts, images, audio, or copyright-protected game assets, and does not restyle unrelated plugins such as SSH, MCP, or Pet.
- Theme selection is persisted in the browser and synchronized with the DSH Theme Runtime.
- Ensure DSH version compatibility (compatible with 0.1.2).
Summary¶
This plugin provides a dark theme solution in a non-invasive manner, making it well suited for users who need to perform long-term development in DeepSeek Harness Web. For detailed information, see the GitHub repository.
