Introduction¶
DeepSeek Harness (DSH) adopts an “everything is a plugin” architecture. When building agent monitoring capabilities, developers need to create Monitor Bundles at the Relay layer. relay-dsh-plugin-monitor-author is a DSH plugin that contributes the relay-monitor-author Skill to DSH’s native Skill catalog, aiming to guide DSH Agents to safely discover and create Relay Monitor Bundles.
Plugin Overview¶
This plugin is maintained by yangbobo2021, categorized as admin-security, and licensed under MIT.
It addresses the problem of safely authoring and configuring monitor bundles in DSH environments. By providing a Skill mechanism, it enables Agents to discover, validate, and persistently install monitor bundles while adhering to the principle of least privilege.
Core Features¶
- Skill Contribution: Adds the
relay-monitor-authorSkill to DSH’s native Skill catalog. - Guided Discovery: Guides DSH Agents to discover Live Monitor Bundles in real time.
- Permission Control: Processes plugin preferences to ensure that custom authoring capabilities are enabled with least privilege.
- Validation and Installation: Provides validation mechanisms and ensures persistent installation.
Installation and Enablement¶
Installing this plugin requires specifying an exact DSH version and using it together with relay-dsh-plugin-monitors. Run the following command:
npx @deepseek-ai/dsh@0.1.3-rc.1 plugin --profile web add --save-exact \
relay-dsh-plugin-monitors@0.3.2-rc.1 \
relay-dsh-plugin-monitor-author@0.1.3-rc.1
After installation, the Skill can be recognized and used by the DSH system.
Typical Usage¶
DSH users can use the Skill provided by this plugin in the following three ways:
- Natural language instruction: Instruct the Agent to wait for external conditions.
- UI tools: Load the Skill through DSH’s native Skill UI or tools.
- Command invocation: Explicitly invoke
/relay-monitor-author.
This Skill uses the Monitor tools already scoped in the current DSH root session. It does not create standalone Codex plugins, nor does it bypass Relay authorization.
Notes¶
- Uninstall behavior: After uninstalling the plugin, the Skill will be removed from new DSH catalog observations.
- Existing monitors: It will not stop or rewrite Monitors already submitted by Monitor Core.
- Environment requirement: The runtime environment must satisfy Node.js >= 22.13.
Conclusion¶
This plugin provides a standardized Skill pathway for monitor authoring in the DSH ecosystem, balancing security and ease of use. For more technical details, please refer to the GitHub repository.
