In the DeepSeek Harness (DSH) Web environment, the plugin system greatly expands the functional boundary. DSH follows the design philosophy of “everything as a plugin.” Community-maintained plugin catalogs do not have a direct affiliation relationship with DeepSeek’s official applications, and developers can use them to build customized workflows.
Volcengine’s Agent Plan provides a public API for querying remaining usage quota, but Coding Plan lacks a similar interface. The console only displays an overall percentage and cannot trace individual requests or split usage by model. The dsh-volcengine-usage plugin introduced in this article aims to solve this problem by providing a draggable Coding Plan usage monitoring card on the DSH page.
Plugin Introduction¶
This plugin was developed by user helloworld1631. Its current status is pending maintainer review, and it has not yet been declared as included in the official catalog. It is an open-source project under the MIT license, focused on displaying Coding Plan quota consumption in the DSH Web interface.
Unlike existing general-purpose plugins in the community, such as dsh-billing-balance or dsh-quota-panel, this plugin caters to a specific narrow use case: it only displays the three quota windows of Volcengine Coding Plan (5 hours, weekly, and monthly). It uses the console login state rather than requiring users to configure AK/SK, and provides a simple, complete, and draggable card. The tradeoff is that the Cookie may expire, and the API endpoints may change as the console is updated.
Core Features¶
- Usage Display: The card intuitively shows the usage percentages for 5 hours, weekly, and monthly quotas.
- Refresh Mechanism: Click the
↻button in the top-right corner to refresh immediately; the card also refreshes automatically every 5 minutes. - Interaction and Memory: Hold the “Volcengine Coding Plan” title bar to drag the card. The browser saves the card position, and it remains after refreshing or restarting.
- Security Handling: The Cookie and Web ID are only read on the DSH server side and are not sent to the browser side.
- Developer Interface: The server side provides a stable local JSON interface for secondary development or integration.
Installation and Enablement¶
Add the plugin in the DSH plugin catalog:
dsh plugin --profile web add github:helloworld1631/dsh-volcengine-usage
After installation is complete, restart the DSH Web service:
dsh web
Configuring Credentials¶
The plugin relies on DSH’s credentials service to resolve credentials. You need to configure the following environment variables:
VOLCENGINE_COOKIE: The complete Cookie stringVOLCENGINE_WEB_ID: The Web ID
In credentials-local (version 1), these are usually written in YAML format:
version: 1
refs:
VOLCENGINE_COOKIE: "完整 Cookie"
VOLCENGINE_WEB_ID: "Web ID"
Please use DSH’s built-in credential management capability or a YAML serializer to write these values. Manually concatenating a long Cookie is not recommended.
Usage¶
After installation and configuration are complete, a draggable usage card will appear on the DSH page:
- View Usage: The top of the card shows the usage percentages for 5 hours, weekly, and monthly quotas.
- Manual Refresh: Click the
↻button in the top-right corner of the card to fetch the latest data immediately. - Automatic Refresh: The card updates automatically every 5 minutes.
- Move the Card: Hold the title bar and drag it; the position is recorded locally by the browser.
If the Volcengine session expires, update the local credentials and refresh again.
Notes¶
- Interface Stability: The plugin uses the logged-in console web Cookie to call internal console page requests. It does not use a publicly promised stable Coding Plan API from Volcengine. The API endpoints may change, and the Cookie may expire.
- Credential Security: This repository does not contain, and should not commit, any Cookie, API Key, Web ID, or
.credentials.yamlfile. The server-side interface accepts only local loopback connections by default, and the browser side cannot read the raw credentials. - Plugin Status: Please choose a more suitable plugin or maintain it yourself based on the current review status and your own needs.
