When debugging agents in DeepSeek Harness, the chat log is often cluttered with a large amount of execution logs (such as Think, context injection, and tool calls), which creates visual noise. dsh-simple-view improves the interface’s visual focus by adjusting styles and injecting system instructions, and asks the model to provide conclusions directly.
Interface Simplification¶
The plugin mainly optimizes the visual presentation of the chat interface:
- Hide execution logs: Hide execution lines such as Think (reasoning), context injection, and tool calls. Error lines and lines asking you a question (
ask_user_question) are retained, ensuring that failures and questions are not lost. - Tighten spacing and reduce font size: Reduce the spacing between message blocks and remove extra blank space below each message (action line + assistant’s turn-tail node). Also reduce the font size in Markdown body text, headings at all levels, and message bubbles.
- Message bubbles: Wrap assistant replies in bubbles with 8px rounded corners, consistent with user message bubbles.
Instruction Optimization¶
In Settings → Plugins → dsh-simple-view, there is a card to edit the “Concise Response Instruction.”
This instruction is injected into the system prompt of each request as a plugin:dsh-simple-view section. The default instruction is as follows:
Keep the text about the execution process concise, mention only key points, otherwise do not output, and try to give conclusions directly.
If left blank, no injection is performed.
Installation and Enablement¶
Add it as a bundle to the DSH profile, or install it via dsh-market.
The plugin ships with cordis.patch.yml, so it is automatically registered after installation and no manual configuration is required.
