Preface¶
The official Plan feature in DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is usually implemented through prompts and buttons, with relatively loose control over file editing. If you need to introduce strict workflow control similar to Grok Build—including a hard gate for editing plan.md and an approval mechanism—dsh-grok-plan-mode provides a corresponding implementation.
Plugin Positioning¶
This is a plugin that ports Grok Build Plan Mode to DSH. It replaces the official DSH Plan, uses Grok’s state machine to manage the workflow, and requires approval of plan.md before entering the execution phase.
Core Features¶
- Replaces the Official Plan: Disables the official
ui-plan/plan-modethrough the Cordis lifecycle and profile bundle, taking over the/plancommand. - Hard Editing Gate: When Plan Mode is active, the model can only modify
plan.mdin the current session; other editing tools are blocked. - Approval Flow: Exiting Plan Mode triggers an approval card (approve or reject), bypassing
auto/always-approvesettings. - State Takeover: Takes over session state and input box controls, ensuring the official Plan in each preset does not reactivate.
Installation and Enablement¶
This plugin only supports the 0.1.5-rc.2 version of DSH’s web profile.
- Ensure that
pnpmanddsh(ornpx @deepseek-ai/dsh) are available on PATH. - Run the installation command:
dsh plugin --profile web add github:aa2246740/dsh-grok-plan-mode
- After installation, you must restart the Host and refresh the page;
dsh plugin adddoes not hot-load into a running process.
Common Commands¶
After entering plan mode, interact using the following commands or tools:
| Command/Tool | Purpose |
|---|---|
/plan |
Enter plan mode |
/plan <text> |
Enter plan mode and start the current turn |
/plan off |
Exit plan mode |
/view-plan / /show-plan / /plan-view |
View the saved plan.md |
/grok-plan-leave |
Exit plan mode (alias) |
enter_plan_mode |
Proactively called by the model to enter |
exit_plan_mode |
Called by the model to exit, triggering approval |
Applicable Scenarios and Notes¶
- Maintenance Status: Maintenance was suspended on 2026-09-15, and installation is no longer recommended. Use the
/plancommand built into official DSH instead. - Version Limitation: Only supports official DSH 0.1.5-rc.2.
- Compatibility: To uninstall, run the
plugin removecommand through an external agent and confirm that the official Plan has been restored; otherwise, takeover logic may remain.
Conclusion¶
By introducing Grok’s state machine and approval mechanism, this plugin provides stricter plan control for DSH. Although maintenance has now been suspended, its code structure demonstrates how to intercept and take over official features through the Cordis lifecycle.
