Introduction¶
DeepSeek Harness (DSH) provides feature extensibility through a plugin mechanism. When developing agents that need to directly control the Unity Editor or Tuanjie Engine, manual clicking or simple scripts is often insufficient for scene setup, script writing, and real-time debugging. The unity-dsh-bridge plugin provides DSH with the ability to control Unity / Tuanjie Engine editors through a local HTTP bridge.
What Is It?¶
unity-dsh-bridge is a DSH plugin developed by maintainer 142gg-GZX. The project includes a DSH plugin bundle, a Unity Editor plugin, and a Python client.
Its core functionality uses local HTTP communication (listening on 127.0.0.1) to perform the following operations:
* Scene and component operations: setup scenes, find hierarchy paths, create or destroy objects, and modify Transforms and properties.
* Script writing and compilation: write C# scripts, trigger compilation, and capture compilation errors and console logs.
* Runtime and debugging: control Play Mode, take screenshots, and simulate input.
* Resource management: save scenes, create materials, etc.
Installation and Activation¶
Use the DSH CLI command to install the plugin:
dsh plugin --profile desktop add github:142gg-GZX/unity-dsh-bridge
After installation is complete, restart DSH. The skill can then be found in the skills directory.
Typical Usage¶
The plugin provides a Python client for interaction, supporting command-line and scripted invocation.
- Check the connection status:
py client/unity_client.py ping
- Create a scene object:
py client/unity_client.py create_primitive '{"type":"cube","name":"Floor","scale":[10,1,10]}'
- Run a demo script:
py demo/demo_game.py
py demo/demo_camera.py
py demo/demo_input.py
Use Cases and Precautions¶
- Compatibility: Supports Unity 2019.4+, 2020.3, and 2022.3, as well as Tuanjie Engine 2022.3.
- Compilation limitation: Tuanjie Engine does not provide the
CompilationPipelineAPI. Compilation errors are reported through console logs instead of being returned via the API. - Network security: The service listens only on
127.0.0.1and is not exposed to external networks. - Project structure: This repository integrates the DSH plugin, Unity plugin, and Python client. Be careful to distinguish them during installation.
Through the local HTTP bridge, this plugin extends DSH’s control to the Unity Editor level, making it suitable for development scenarios that require automated testing, scene generation, or remote debugging. For more details, refer to the GitHub repository.
