When using models in DeepSeek Harness, especially when inference runs quickly, the expanded Think output often flashes by, making it hard to read completely. This plugin turns that text into a digital rain animation, making it visible while the model is running.
Plugin Overview¶
This is an unofficial community plugin. It converts the expanded Think output in DeepSeek Harness Web into a digital rain animation. It is maintained by me93-ghb and licensed under the MIT License.
Core Features¶
- Vertical rain streams: Space-separated words become vertical rain streams. The first letter appears first, then the rest of the letters form an ordered trailing tail. New words wait until the current rain stream has completely passed through the container below before falling.
- Theme adaptation: The animation reads and applies DSH theme tokens (font, background, colors), and at least one visible rain stream uses a blue accent color.
- Emoji conversion: Dashes are converted into a whale emoji.
- Local runtime: The plugin runs in the browser, does not send data, makes no network requests, and has no host-side behavior.
Installation and Enabling¶
Use the following command to install the plugin:
dsh plugin --profile web add github:me93-ghb/dsh-matrix-think
After installation, open the DSH Web interface, go to Settings -> Plugins, find the Matrix Think toggle, and enable it.
Typical Usage¶
- Submit a prompt.
- Expand the Think area while the model is running.
- Enable the Matrix Think toggle in settings.
To remove the plugin, you can use:
dsh plugin --profile web remove dsh-matrix-think
Notes¶
- DeepSeek Harness is currently in developer preview.
- The plugin relies on the
data-variant="think"anddata-stateattributes on Think rows. - If the DSH Web renderer changes, the plugin’s selectors may need to be updated to maintain compatibility.
- This plugin is not officially associated with DeepSeek AI and is maintained by the community only.
