Introduction¶
In the DeepSeek Harness (DSH) ecosystem, accountability, authorization chain management, and result traceability are common requirements for managing complex task flows. Standard DSH plugins usually focus on execution and lack an explicit contract management mechanism. The work-charter-dsh plugin addresses this issue by porting the policy from Codex Work Charter 0.9.1 into DSH, providing a structured set of records, authorization rules, and acceptance criteria for workflows.
Plugin Information¶
- Name: work-charter-dsh
- Description: A DSH native Work Charter policy plugin, based on native DSH team capabilities.
- Owner: junwei529
- Category: admin-security
- License: MIT
- Star count: 2
Core Features¶
This plugin provides a complete contract management mechanism:
- Contract adaptation and recording: Adapts Codex Work Charter 0.9.1 to DeepSeek Harness and records results, permissions, responsibilities, authors, evidence, acceptance, and recovery information.
- Native team support: Uses DSH native team capabilities to support persistent teammates, email delivery, and restarts.
- State management: Maintains contract-specific state, permission/evidence history, author observations, and result/review/disposition semantics.
- Model control: Supports the
reasoning_effortandmax_output_tokensparameters. For unsupported models or parameters, the system stops the request instead of silently changing them. - Role freezing and handoff: New roles select a complete model object and freeze it; uncertain handoffs trigger the stop mechanism.
- Subprocess management: Native subprocesses marked by WCDP stop running if their paired contract record is missing; unknown senders are kept in a persistent stopped state.
Installation and Enablement¶
Installing this plugin requires DSH 0.1.7-rc.2, Node.js (version ^22.19.0 || >=24.0.0), Cordis 4.0.4, and React 18.3.1. Make sure to download the correct version package and verify the checksum.
- Download
work-charter-dsh-0.2.0-alpha.1.tgz. - Verify the file hash.
- Check the current DSH version.
- Create a new configuration profile (for example,
wcdp-new) and export the default configuration. - Install the plugin package.
- Start DSH.
Get-FileHash -Algorithm SHA256 .\work-charter-dsh-0.2.0-alpha.1.tgz
dsh --version
dsh --profile wcdp-new --from-default-profile web --dump-config
dsh plugin --profile wcdp-new add .\work-charter-dsh-0.2.0-alpha.1.tgz --ignore-scripts
dsh --profile wcdp-new
Typical Usage¶
- Initialization: Start with the Work Charter Skill and the
work_charter_statuscommand. - Use the skill package: Load
assets/work-charter-dsh.md, which includes five model tools and a contract-2 JSON example. - Multi-responsibility configuration: If multiple responsibilities are involved, add the corresponding subagent packages to the configuration file.
@deepseek-ai/dsh-subagent@deepseek-ai/dsh-subagent-spawn-in-process(provider name: spawn)@deepseek-ai/dsh-experimental-agent-team
- Parameter settings: Use the
0.9.1source priority during role selection, and freeze the model object before initial scheduling.
Applicable Scenarios and Notes¶
- Applicable scenarios: Complex tasks that require explicit recording of the work process, accountability, and acceptance criteria. Ordinary stable work does not require contract rituals.
- Permissions and validation: The host performs validation operations; the client is read-only. The plugin does not lock files, grant permissions, authenticate human approval, or enforce all DSH tools.
- Data management:
- Keep Session logs and contract storage together.
- Do not use the old WCDP/SCDP storage (Schema 1 is rejected, and data is not automatically migrated).
- Legacy audit/source/runtime scripts are retained for historical baselines and are not commands in the current package.
- Browser limitations: The available browser tools block localhost navigation; jsdom and HTTP checks are not substitutes for it.
Summary¶
work-charter-dsh provides standardized work contract management capabilities for DeepSeek Harness. By recording the full lifecycle from authorization to recovery, it helps developers build clearer and more traceable workflows. For more details, see the GitHub repository or the community directory.
