Foreword¶
During the development of DeepSeek Harness (DSH), sessions are archived to preserve context. As usage time increases, the number of sessions in the archive may become large and difficult to restore quickly or clean up thoroughly from the main interface. The dsh-archive-sessions plugin aims to add a dedicated session management entry point to DSH, allowing developers to directly view, restore, or permanently delete archived sessions from the settings page.
Plugin Overview¶
Name: dsh-archive-sessions
Owner: jujiujiang222-cell
License: MIT
Core Value: Provides a persistent view of archived sessions, supports restoring them to the sidebar and permanently deleting them (with secondary confirmation).
Core Features¶
This plugin mainly addresses the management of archived sessions, including:
1. Session List: Lists all archived sessions that have persistent logs. The plugin uses disk files as the source of truth to avoid dirty data caused by inconsistent in-memory state.
2. Information Display: Displays the session title, creation time, working directory, and whether the session is currently open in memory.
3. Restore Session: Moves an archived session out of the archive set so that it reappears in the sidebar.
4. Permanent Deletion: Removes the session’s log files and disassociates the workspace. Secondary confirmation is required on the page before the operation.
Installation and Enablement¶
Installing the plugin requires the current environment to have the DeepSeek Harness Web Profile and the plugin marketplace runtime environment.
Official Installation¶
Use the following command to install from GitHub:
dsh plugin --profile web add github:jujiujiang222-cell/dsh-archive-sessions
Local Build Installation¶
If you need to build from source, place the package into the dependency set and ensure the configuration file contains the following lines:
# cordis.patch.yml
- insert:
- id: dsh-archive-sessions
name: dsh-archive-sessions
After installation or update, restart the application and open Settings → Archived Sessions to use it.
Usage Instructions¶
In the “Archived Sessions” section of the settings page, you will see a list of all archived sessions that exist on disk.
* Restore: After clicking Restore, the session will immediately return to the sidebar.
* Delete: After clicking Delete and confirming, the plugin will attempt to remove the corresponding log files. Due to security restrictions, the deletion operation requires a full-access permission policy.
Notes¶
- Deletion Mechanism: Session logs use an append-only write mode. Permanent deletion leaves a “tombstone” marker in the archive set until references are fully cleared after the application restarts.
- In-Memory Sessions: If a session is currently active in memory, the agent must be stopped before deletion (usually takes about 4 seconds).
- Permission Requirements: Deleting files in the application data directory requires a full-access permission policy; the default sandbox Shell cannot perform this operation.
- Irreversibility: Permanently deleted sessions cannot be restored.
- Dependencies: This plugin depends on the following DSH client libraries:
@deepseek-ai/dsh-client-connection@deepseek-ai/dsh-client-runtime@deepseek-ai/dsh-client-ui-settings
Ecosystem and Links¶
DeepSeek Harness follows the “everything is a plugin” philosophy. This plugin is maintained by a community developer and has no affiliation with official DeepSeek.
