DeepSeek Harness (DSH) uses an “everything is a plugin” architecture. Its rich plugin ecosystem also introduces management complexity. Developers often need to distinguish official built-in plugins from user-installed third-party plugins in the Web settings interface and configure them accordingly. dsh-lightweight-plugin-enhance is a lightweight management enhancement plugin designed for this scenario.

Plugin Positioning

This plugin is maintained by Feng-jsy and is released under the MIT license. It mainly addresses the issue of confusing DSH plugin lists by clearly separating official plugins from third-party plugins in Web settings, providing one-click enablement and disabling for third-party plugins, and keeping the core system clean.

Core Features

  • Official vs. Third-Party Classification: The system automatically identifies official plugins (scopes such as @deepseek-ai, cordis:include root composite entries, and cordis:group) and third-party plugins (installed by users via dsh plugin add).
  • Grouping and Filtering: The interface provides “All / Official / Third-party” filter tabs, displays real-time plugin counts for each group, and works together with the search box.
  • One-Click Enable/Disable (Third-Party Only): For third-party plugins, expanding a card reveals the full module name and Loader entry ID. Use the switch on the card to enable or disable the plugin.
  • Configuration Activation Mechanism: Switch operations do not modify core configuration. Instead, they write directly to the user patch layer cordis.patch.yml. Configuration changes are recombined via HMR after about one second, without restarting the host service.
  • Safety and Self-Protection: Official plugin rows always reject switching (determined on the host side). This plugin itself also prevents switching, avoiding the management panel disappearing along with the plugin. Plugin routes only allow local loopback access.

Installation and Enablement

Prerequisite: DeepSeek Harness (DSH) version >= 0.1.0-rc.6.

Run the following command to install the plugin:

dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-lightweight-plugin-enhance

After installation, restart the DSH service to load the host-side code, then refresh the Web page and navigate to Settings -> Plugins -> Lightweight Plugin Enhancement to use it.

Typical Usage

  1. Open the settings page in the Web interface.
  2. Find and click “Lightweight Plugin Enhancement” in the plugin list.
  3. Use the top filter (such as “Third-party”) to view non-official plugins.
  4. Click the switch on any third-party plugin card to enable or disable it. The configuration takes effect after the page refreshes.

Notes

  • Version Compatibility: The plugin requires DSH >= 0.1.0-rc.6 to work properly.
  • Permissions and Security: The plugin runs with the permissions of the current DSH process. Ensure that you trust its source code and license. The route /plugin-enhance/* is restricted to local loopback access.
  • Host Changes: Changes to this plugin’s own host-side code require a service restart. Only client-side (HMR) changes can be applied by refreshing the page.
