Preface

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) adopts a plugin-based architecture. In the Web UI, creating or switching workspaces directly by path usually requires multiple menu operations. The dsh-workspace-jump plugin adds a button at the bottom of the sidebar, providing a more direct entry point.

Introduction

This is a DSH Web plugin maintained by fogmodel. Its core function is to add a “Workspace” button at the bottom of the left sidebar in the DSH Web UI. Clicking this button allows you to enter an absolute path to create or switch to the corresponding workspace.

Core Features

  • Adds a “Workspace” button at the bottom of the sidebar.
  • Automatically adapts to the Chinese and English UIs of DSH (switches automatically according to DSH localization settings).
  • Opens a dialog box asking for the absolute path of an existing directory.
  • Calls the DSH workspace APIs: ctx.workspaces.create({ path }) registers the directory, and ctx.workspaces.startSession(workspaceId) switches the workspace.

Installation and Activation

Install it using the official DSH plugin command. After installation, restart DSH and refresh the browser.

dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-workspace-jump

Typical Usage

  1. Open the DSH Web UI.
  2. Click the “Workspace” button at the bottom of the left sidebar.
  3. Enter an absolute path, for example:
    - Linux/WSL: /home/user/project
    - Windows: D:\project
  4. Click “Create”.

Notes

  • Path validity: The entered path must exist and be a directory. If the path does not exist, DSH will return an error.
  • Runtime environment: This plugin is only applicable to the DSH Web profile and does not support the TUI profile.

Short Closing

This tool reduces the operational cost of switching workspaces in the Web UI by providing command-line installation and a sidebar entry point. For more information, refer to the GitHub repository.
