Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) adopts a plugin-based ecosystem strategy. In addition to desktop operations, there are times when you need to quickly check status or perform simple control from a mobile device. dsh-mobile-remote is a community-maintained plugin. It adds a “Remote Control” panel to the Web settings page, enabling remote control from a phone over the local network or external network.

Core Features

This plugin provides a complete mobile remote control solution:

  • Connection and Control: The settings page includes a built-in QR code for scan-to-connect, and supports one-click enable/disable of remote control (supports hot reloading, no service restart required).
  • Device Statistics: Real-time statistics for the number of currently online devices.
  • Image Upload: Optimized for mobile experience, supports uploading images via the system gallery or file picker (used for DeepSeek’s vision models).
  • Remote Access Password Gate: Provides security protection. Local access and local network access do not require a password, while external network access requires one. The password is stored locally using an scrypt hash and a random salt (~/.dsh/plugins/dsh-mobile-remote/config.), without relying on a backend relay.
  • Telemetry Data: Rich device data display, supporting expanded details such as OS, browser, screen, CPU, and memory.
  • Status Detection: Genuine external tunnel status detection (verified via frpc logs, not a fake online status).
  • Performance Optimization: Optimized remote loading speed, resolving external access lag by adding an frpc connection pool.
  • Pure CLI Support: Pure CLI users can use the remote control feature without installing the desktop application.

Installation and Enablement

Install the Plugin

Use the following command to install the plugin:

dsh plugin --profile web add @feiyang666/dsh-mobile-remote

Start and Configure

After installation, start DSH (desktop application or command line), open http://127.0.0.1:3080, go to Settings -> Remote Control, and enable the remote control switch.

Usage Steps

  1. Start the Service: Make sure DSH is running on the computer.
  2. Enable Control: Turn on the switch on the “Remote Control” page in the Web interface.
  3. Connect the Device: Make sure your phone and computer are connected to the same Wi-Fi, then use your phone browser to scan the generated QR code or open the local network URL.
  4. Operate and Interact: On your phone, view desktop data and send messages to perform control.

Pure CLI Startup

If you only use the command line, you can enable remote control using the --patch parameter without installing the desktop application:

dsh --profile web --patch remote-control.patch.yml

Alternatively, after starting the service, you can manually enable it from the settings page in the Web interface.

Notes

  • Password Security: The remote access password is stored locally and is only used for external network access verification; it does not rely on a backend relay service.
  • Dependency Requirements: You must install dsh-update-server and update the related files to display complete tunnel statistics.
  • Universality: The plugin supports any frp/tunneling solution (including self-hosted relays), and the password gate takes effect directly.
  • Security Limitation: The official CLI restricts --host 0.0.0.0 by default to ensure security. This plugin bypasses that restriction by modifying cordis.patch.yml or using the --patch parameter. Please ensure it is only used in trusted network environments.
