When extending agent capabilities in DeepSeek Harness (DSH), it is often necessary to connect to specific business systems. Traditional approaches may struggle to ensure a smooth LLM interaction while preserving business authorization, approval workflows, and complete audit records. bailinghub-dsh-plugin addresses this issue by allowing governed business tasks to be submitted and tracked through a configured BailingHub route.
Plugin Positioning¶
The plugin is named bailinghub/bailinghub-dsh-plugin, maintained by bailinghub, and released under the MIT License. It allows a local DSH Agent to query data, update records, and execute permitted operations in online stores, SaaS, or other management systems while preserving authorization and approval context.
Core Features¶
- Separated discovery: Separately discover chat models and image tools.
- Governance retention: Retain business authorization, approval, and audit rules.
- Business operations: Look up records, update allowed fields, and follow the system’s existing approval rules.
- Operation tracking: BailingHub records which authorization was used and what each business operation returned.
- Context visibility: Conversations are visually identifiable and linked to their business operations.
Installation and Enablement¶
Before installation, prepare Node.js 22.19.0+ or 24+, pnpm, and a compatible DeepSeek Harness version. The plugin must be used with BailingHub Core 0.9.0 / SDK 0.7.0 / DSH 0.7.0.
Run the following commands to install:
npm install --global pnpm @deepseek-ai/dsh@0.1.1-rc.2
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-bailinghub@0.7.0
Installation automatically includes the bailinghub-mcp-server@0.7.0 dependency. Administrators must first connect the business systems on the BailingHub side before the Agent can use them.
Typical Usage¶
1. Configure Business Scope¶
Before starting business requests, run the following commands in a new conversation window to select authorizations:
/bailinghub connections list
/bailinghub scope set <shop-connection-key> <inventory-connection-key>
/bailinghub scope
Replace <connection-key> with the fixed key from the connection list, not the display name. You can select authorizations from different systems in the same conversation.
2. Execute Business Operations¶
For example, you can ask the Agent to check inventory and update prices at the same time:
“Check the inventory for tumbler. If in stock, change the price of the corresponding shop product to 59 and list it; otherwise, keep it unlisted.”
The Agent will execute the operations according to system permissions and approval rules, and display the results in the conversation.
3. Manage Records¶
Use the following commands to manage upload and synchronization of conversation records:
/bailinghub archive status
/bailinghub archive sync
archive status is used to check upload status, and archive sync is used to retry synchronization after the connection is restored.
Notes¶
- Community nature: This is an independent community integration and is not a plugin developed, certified, endorsed, or recommended by DeepSeek.
- Environment requirements: Node.js 22.19.0+ or 24+, pnpm, and a compatible DSH release are required.
- Identity management: Names are for display only. Duplicate names and renaming do not merge or recreate credentials, nor modify the original Session or rewrite history.
- Security: The plugin never silently switches to another account. Do not put business passwords, Client Tokens, signing keys, or model provider keys into settings or chat.
- Authorization status: If any selected authorization is revoked, replaced, or cannot be checked, business access for the entire conversation is suspended.
Conclusion¶
This plugin provides DSH agents with a way to combine business logic with LLM capabilities while retaining governance and audit. For more details, see the catalog page and GitHub repository.
