Introduction¶
The core philosophy of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is plugin-based extensibility. It extends capabilities through ACP subagent providers. The existing subagent-claude-code and subagent-codex subagents focus on a single coding engine. When coordination, debate, or synthesis is required across multiple engines such as Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor, these native subagents cannot satisfy the need directly.
The following introduces @enderfga/dsh-clawo, a DeepSeek Harness bundle that registers Claw Orchestrator as an ACP subagent provider, allowing dsh to delegate subagents to a runtime spanning multiple engines.
Core Features¶
This plugin mainly provides the following capabilities:
- Register an ACP subagent provider: Integrates Claw Orchestrator into DSH’s subagent architecture.
- Multi-engine support: Supports running with a single engine, as well as forming a council across multiple engines for collaboration.
- Four operating modes:
single: A single engine responds (default).council: Multiple engines debate in isolated git worktrees and reach consensus.ultraplan: Long-horizon planning.ultrareview: Parallel reviewers scan the workspace.
Installation and Enablement¶
Installing and enabling the plugin is straightforward. Add the package using DSH’s plugin management command.
- Install the plugin:
dsh plugin --profile <name> add @enderfga/dsh-clawo
- Verify the configuration:
After installation, you can check whether the configuration was written to the profile correctly using the following command:
dsh --profile <name> --dump-config | grep -A6 subagent-clawo
Typical Usage¶
The plugin selects a mode using slash commands in prompts. For example, in council mode, request a fix for a failing test:
/council fix the failing test
DSH recognizes this instruction and invokes the registered clawo subagent provider. Internally, Claw Orchestrator decides, based on the mode (for example, council), whether to call a single engine or start multiple engines to collaborate.
Requirements and Limitations¶
Before using the plugin, ensure the environment meets the following requirements:
- DSH version:
dsh0.1.0-rc.6 or later is required. - Node.js: Node 22.19+ or 24+ is required.
- Runtime environment: Subagents run on the local machine and do not run inside the dsh container. This means the invoked coding CLIs (such as
claudeandcodex) must already be authenticated and available on the host machine.
The plugin fetches dependencies through npx to avoid compiling native modules (such as re2) during installation.
Known functional limitations include:
- No session recovery:
loadSessionis set tofalse. - No relayed permission prompts: The
session/request_permissioninterface is not implemented, and permission requests are denied by default. - Council mode is slow: In practice, one Council mode run takes about 9 minutes. This is an intentional design choice, not a performance failure.
Summary¶
@enderfga/dsh-clawo addresses DSH’s limitations in multi-engine collaboration scenarios. By encapsulating complex Orchestrator logic as an ACP subagent, developers can directly invoke modes such as single and council in DSH workflows to perform cross-engine code review, debate, and synthesis.
