DeepSeek Harness (DSH) follows the core design philosophy of “everything is a plugin.” dsh-wechat-bridge is a network-enabled tool plugin maintained by zxz9988, whose core role is to connect mobile WeChat to DSH’s AI assistant. The plugin uses Tencent’s official iLink / ClawBot protocol to enable streaming interaction between WeChat and DSH.

Core Features

The plugin mainly addresses the problem of “how to conveniently use DSH on mobile devices,” with the following capabilities:

  • Connection and login: Supports QR-code login and persistent storage of login credentials; supports streaming replies and simulates a typewriter effect.
  • Session management: Maintains an independent AI session for each contact to avoid cross-interference; supports session persistence, so context can be restored after a DSH restart.
  • Message processing: Supports voice-to-text conversion, image reception with OCR, and file reception with parsing.
  • Formatting and delivery: Supports converting Markdown into WeChat-friendly plain text; supports automatically sending AI-generated files back to WeChat.
  • Automation and security: Supports configuring scheduled tasks via cron; supports whitelist (allowFrom) and administrator (admins) access control; supports blocking link-only messages; includes a retry mechanism and logging.
  • Group chat support: Group chats are supported at the code level, but due to current WeChat ClawBot platform restrictions, the bot cannot be added to group chats, so the group chat feature is temporarily unavailable.

Installation and Activation

DSH plugins are installed in a profile (default path is ~/.dsh/profiles/web/). After installation, restart DSH to ensure the code takes effect.

Method A: Official command installation (recommended for regular users)

dsh plugin --profile web add @zxz9988/dsh-wechat-bridge

Method B: Local link installation (recommended for development iteration)

cd "$env:USERPROFILE\.dsh\profiles\web"
pnpm add "link:<插件仓库路径>"

After installing using the link: method, source code changes take effect after restarting DSH, without requiring repeated installation.

Configuration and Usage

After initial installation, the plugin is enabled by default and automatically generates a login page. Use the /help command to view help, and the /new command to clear the current contact’s conversation context.

1. Configure permissions and tasks
You can configure the whitelist, administrator list, and scheduled tasks through the override.json file. This file is located at ~/.dsh/wechat-bridge/ and supports hot reloading approximately 5 seconds after changes.

{
  "allowFrom": ["<你的 iLink 用户 ID>"],
  "admins": ["<你的 iLink 用户 ID>"],
  "jobs": [
    {
      "id": "morning-news",
      "cron": "0 7 * * *",
      "prompt": "收集今天 AI 行业头条并总结要点",
      "to": "<你的 iLink 用户 ID>"
    }
  ]
}

2. Optional: web scraping (MCP)
If the AI needs to read web page content in WeChat, you can configure the in-house mcp-fetch server. The tool mcp__fetch__fetch must be mounted in cordis.patch.yml.

Notes

  • Code updates: After modifying plugin source code, restart DSH to load the new code; configuration changes usually support hot reloading.
  • Windows Defender: On Windows systems, Windows Defender may report lib/index.js as a threat by mistake. If this occurs, add the file or directory to the exclusion list in security software.
  • Dependencies: The plugin depends on wechat-ilink-client (MIT) and has no code association with the CC-Connect project.
  • Group chat limitations: Although the code is ready, platform limitations currently prevent the bot from joining group chats.

Conclusion

dsh-wechat-bridge is a fully featured WeChat bridging solution that ensures connection stability through the official protocol. It is suitable for scenarios where DeepSeek capabilities need to be invoked on mobile devices through WeChat.
