DeepSeek Harness adopts an “everything is a plugin” architecture; the Web GUI provides a basic conversation and debugging interface. If you want a more sci-tech visual style, you can install a third-party skin. This article introduces the Jarvis theme maintained by YiCheng-Zzz. It repaints the interface as an Iron Man J.A.R.V.I.S. HUD theme with a deep-space blue-black background and ice-blue neon styling.
Core Features¶
This plugin provides a full visual overlay for the Web GUI. Core features include:
- Color scheme and layout: A deep-space blue-black background with an ice-blue neon color scheme; full remapping of 130+
--dsw-*tokens to ensure the rendering logic matches the theme style; a glassmorphism-style input card with a HUD cut-corner design, backed by a dark grid pattern. - Detailed interactions: Scrollbars are styled as a slim cyan appearance. The chat area displays a fixed, centered breathing J.A.R.V.I.S. badge (using the Orbitron font, with fallback to Bahnschrift when offline).
- Status feedback: While the agent is thinking, the UI displays “FOR YOU, SIR, ALWAYS” with synchronized breathing animation, then fades out after output completes.
Installation and Enabling¶
Install the plugin. Use the official CLI:
dsh plugin --profile web add https://github.com/YiCheng-Zzz/jarvis-skin-publish-dsh-client-ui-skin-jarvis-own.git
After installation, the skin is automatically activated through bundle wiring. Because manifest-level wiring is only read at startup, it takes effect after restarting dsh web.
Switching and Uninstallation¶
If you need to switch back to the official style, modify the configuration file. Add the following to <DSH_HOME>/profiles/web/cordis.patch.yml:
- id: ui-skin-jarvis
disabled: true
Uninstall the plugin. Run the following command to remove it:
dsh plugin --profile web remove @yicheng-zzz/dsh-client-ui-skin-jarvis
Notes¶
- Runtime environment: This plugin does not depend on any third-party components and can run in a pure official DSH environment.
- Font loading: The Orbitron font is loaded via a domestic mirror. If network access is restricted, it automatically falls back to Bahnschrift.
- Publishing and discovery: The package name for this version is
@yicheng-zzz/dsh-client-ui-skin-jarvis. Its namespace is clean, so it can be safely published to npm. However, the registry scan in the DSH Web UI Skin Center only recognizes the@linxin666/directory, so this version will not appear in the Skin Center GUI list—users who do not need the Skin Center can install and use this version directly.
