Introduction¶
The DeepSeek Harness (DSH) Web GUI provides a visual interactive interface for managing agents and model calls. The default style is functionally complete but relatively conventional in terms of immersive development experience. This plugin remaps CSS variables and injects HUD elements to transform the interface into a J.A.R.V.I.S.-style smart assistant aesthetic inspired by Iron Man, delivering more futuristic visual feedback.
Plugin Purpose¶
This is a fun reskin plugin for the DSH Web GUI. It gives the interface a deep space blue-black base color, a dark grid background, and ice-blue neon accents, while remapping 130+ --dsw-* tokens. It also introduces visual elements such as HUD corner brackets and glassmorphism input cards, turning the chat and preview areas into a sci-fi-style HUD interface.
Core Features¶
- Visual Style Rewrite: Applies a deep space blue-black base color, dark grid background, and ice-blue neon accents, overriding 130+
--dsw-*tokens. - UI Element Transformation: The input card uses a glassmorphism design with HUD corner brackets; the scrollbar uses a thin cyan capsule style (7px wide + gradient).
- Dynamic Interaction Badge: The chat area displays a centered breathing badge J.A.R.V.I.S. using the Orbitron tech font (offline fallback to Windows Bahnschrift).
- Thinking State Feedback: While the model is thinking, the subtext FOR YOU, SIR, ALWAYS appears below the badge, breathing in sync with it, and automatically fades out after output completes.
- Panel Skin Synchronization: The right-side aionui preview/file panel synchronously applies this skin theme (for web-ui users only).
Installation and Activation¶
After installation, the skin is automatically activated via bundle wiring. Since manifest-level wiring is only read at startup, you need to restart the dsh web command-line process to make it take effect.
- Open a terminal or PowerShell.
- Run the following command to add the plugin:
dsh plugin --profile web add https://github.com/YiCheng-Zzz/dsh-client-ui-skin-jarvis.git
- Restart the
dsh webservice.
Switching and Uninstallation¶
To switch back to the official style, manually edit the configuration file to disable the plugin.
- Locate the configuration file:
<DSH_HOME>/profiles/web/cordis.patch.yml. - Add the following content to the file to disable it:
- id: ui-skin-jarvis
disabled: true
When uninstalling the plugin, use the remove command:
dsh plugin --profile web remove @linxin666/dsh-client-ui-skin-jarvis
Use Cases and Notes¶
- Target Users: dsh users who want to add sci-fi HUD visual effects to the DSH Web GUI.
- Namespace Note: This package uses the
@linxin666namespace only as a local directory convention. The dsh-web-ui skin center registry scan hardcodes this directory, has no relationship to the original author, and is not published to npm. - Font Loading: The Orbitron font is loaded via the domestic mirror
fonts.loli.net. If the network is restricted or the mirror is blocked, it automatically falls back to the built-in Windows Bahnschrift font, so the page will not break. - Permissions and Security: The plugin runs with the permissions of the current DSH process. It is recommended to review the source code and license (MIT) before installation.
