Introduction¶
DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is a plugin-based agent development platform. In daily use, managing overly long session lists is a common need. The official interface supports archiving, but the sidebar entry is relatively hidden. This plugin extends official UI slots and provides an intuitive delete entry in the session header.
What Is This¶
This is a DSH client plugin maintained by yhPrime. By adding a red trash-can button to the right side of the session header in the web interface (next to the “Session log” export button), it addresses the need to delete the current session with a secondary confirmation step.
Core Features¶
- Hover-revealed trash-can button: The button is located on the right side of the session header and belongs to the official extensible
conversation.session.header.utilitiesslot. Its interaction logic is consistent with the other icons in the header: when the mouse hovers over it, the button changes from semi-transparent to a fully bright red color, with a highlighted background. - Secondary confirmation dialog: Clicking the button opens a confirmation dialog. The language follows the interface setting (Chinese or English).
- Official API archiving: After confirmation, it calls the client API
ctx.workspaces.archiveSession(sessionId). The session is persistently archived and hidden (removed from the sidebar). If the deleted session is the current one, the system automatically clears the selection state and navigates to the new session interface. - Zero side effects: The plugin does not replace any official UI, has no host-side side effects, and can be fully removed after uninstallation.
Installation and Enablement¶
Installation can mainly be done in two ways: local profile deployment and npm installation.
Method 1: Local Profile Deployment (Recommended for Development/Personal Use)¶
- Place the plugin directory in your profile folder (for example,
C:\Users\<you>\.dsh\profiles\web\). - In the profile’s
package.json:
* Add"dsh-session-delete": "file:./dsh-session-delete"todependencies.
* Append"dsh-session-delete"to thedsh.profile.bundlesarray. - Run
pnpm installin the profile directory, then restart the DeepSeek Harness Web service.
Method 2: Install from npm / Git¶
- Run
pnpm add dsh-session-delete. - Register
"dsh-session-delete"in thedsh.profile.bundlesarray of the profile’spackage.json.
Typical Usage¶
Configure bundles in the profile’s package.json to enable it:
{
"dependencies": {
"dsh-session-delete": "file:./dsh-session-delete"
},
"dsh.profile.bundles": [
"dsh-session-delete"
]
}
Applicable Scenarios and Notes¶
- Placement note: The
⋯menu on session rows in the sidebar is hardcoded as a built-in product component and does not provide an extension slot for plugins. Therefore, the delete button is placed in the official extensible slot on the right side of the session header, which is currently the only safe session-level entry that does not obscure the official UI. - Runtime environment: The plugin runs on the client. Please make sure you have read the source code and license before installation.
Brief Conclusion¶
By reusing the official API and extension slots, this plugin provides DSH users with a standardized session cleanup capability. Installation and uninstallation leave no residue.
