Introduction

In the plugin-based ecosystem of DeepSeek Harness (DSH), managing skill libraries for different agents (Claude, Codex, etc.) often requires manually copying files or navigating through multiple directories. The dsh-skill-station plugin provides a centralized sidebar panel to handle the lifecycle of these skills.

Plugin Overview

dsh-skill-station is a skill management terminal for DSH. Maintained by WilShi and under the MIT license. It integrates scanning of skill libraries, one-click import, global and project-level management, and drag-and-drop installation of Claude, Codex, Cursor, and Gemini into a single sidebar panel, reducing the tedious manual maintenance of skill configurations.

Installation and Activation

Install the plugin via the DSH CLI:

dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-skill-station

After installation, restart dsh web. A “Skill Station” button will appear in the sidebar, above the Settings button; a corresponding skill management section will also appear on the Settings page.

Core Features

Skill Library Scanning and Import

The plugin scans skill files under writable skill root directories, including the global root directory ~/.dsh/skills, the shared directory ~/.agents/skills, and the current workspace directory <project>/.dsh/skills.

At the same time, the plugin provides read-only scanning capabilities to read skills from external agent directories:
* ~/.claude/skills
* ~/.codex/skills
* ~/.cursor/skills
* ~/.gemini/antigravity/skills
* ~/.gemini/skills

Users can click “One-Click Import”, select candidate skills, and specify a target root directory. Import supports conflict policies (skip/rename/replace), and replaced skills are moved to the trash.

Installation Methods

The plugin supports several ways to install skills:
* Drag-and-drop installation: Drag a skill folder or .zip archive directly onto the Install tab. The server extracts it and supports large skill packages.
* Local path installation: Paste the absolute path of a local skill folder; the server copies it from disk directly, with no upload size limit.
* Custom configuration sources: Customize the sources list in the configuration file to specify scan paths.

Skill Management

  • Global and project-level management: Distinguish different skill context levels.
  • Enable/disable: Control whether a skill is active by modifying the disable-model-invocation frontmatter flag.
  • Trash: Deleted skills are not removed immediately; they are moved to the ~/.dsh/skill-station/trash directory, where they can be restored or cleared.

Detail Browsing and Editing

Open any skill to browse its file tree and edit files directly within the panel. Saving SKILL.md triggers a real-time reload of its invocation configuration. Supports exporting skills as importable zip packages and quickly generating a new skill skeleton through a wizard.

Diagnostics and Fixes

The plugin includes built-in diagnostics that scan for and flag skills ignored by the loader (e.g., YAML formatting errors, missing fields) and provide one-click fixes.

Configuration

The plugin configuration items are located under the plugins field in the DSH configuration file, as shown below:

plugins:
  dsh-skill-station:
    maxBodyBytes: 67108864      # 上传请求大小上限(默认 64MB)
    sources:                    # 替换默认扫描源
      - id: claude
        label: Claude Code
        userDirs: ['~/.claude/skills']
        projectDirs: ['.claude/skills']

Security and Precautions

  • Permission control: Write operations are limited to writable skill root directories. All paths are normalized and checked before writing; symbolic link traversal and invalid paths are rejected.
  • External directories: External agent directories are only scanned and not modified.
  • Content review: Uploaded or imported skills are third-party content and must be reviewed before enabling.
  • API service: The API provided by the plugin is served by the local server.

Typical Usage

  1. Install the plugin and restart dsh web.
  2. Click the “Skill Station” button in the sidebar.
  3. In the “Import” tab, select skills from an external agent (e.g., Cursor), choose a target root directory, and import them.
  4. In the “Install” tab, drag an existing local skill folder into the panel, or paste an absolute path.
  5. In the “Manage” tab, view the skill list, edit SKILL.md, or fix configuration errors.

Summary

dsh-skill-station centralizes fragmented skill management actions in the DSH sidebar. Through drag-and-drop, path pasting, and one-click import, developers can more efficiently reuse and manage skill configurations across different agents.
