Introduction¶
The DeepSeek Harness (DSH) Web interface is relatively plain by default. The dsh-scenery-background plugin improves this experience by introducing beautifully rendered mountain and sea landscape backgrounds.
Plugin Overview¶
This is a pure front-end plugin maintained by soslowsnail, focused on providing dynamic backgrounds for the DSH Web interface. It is licensed under the MIT License.
Core Features¶
- Daily image: By default, the background changes deterministically based on the local date.
- Looping slideshow: Cross-fades every 30 seconds with a camera-like movement effect.
- Floating button: Located in the bottom-right corner; can be restored with
Alt+B. Supports switching modes, changing to the next image, adjusting clarity, or hiding the button. - Assets: 5 built-in SVG mountain and sea scenes (data URIs, zero network dependency) + 12 Unsplash photos (automatically included when the network is available).
- UI: A frosted-glass semi-transparent panel that adapts to dark/light themes.
- Idempotency: Automatically skips duplicate injection.
Installation and Activation¶
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-scenery-background
After installation, restart dsh web to apply the changes.
Typical Usage¶
After installing the plugin and restarting, a floating button appears in the bottom-right corner. Clicking it allows you to switch display modes, change to the next image, adjust clarity, or hide the button (use Alt+B to restore it).
Notes¶
- This is a pure front-end plugin with no server-side dependencies and no additional configuration items required.
- Startup troubleshooting: If the plugin prevents the page from starting, edit
~/.dsh/profiles/web/cordis.patch.yml. Replace[]with the following content (do not append):
- id: dsh-scenery-background
disabled: true
Conclusion¶
This plugin enhances the visual experience without changing the core DSH logic. The source code and documentation are available on GitHub.
