DSH (DeepSeek Harness) follows the “everything is a plugin” philosophy. When using custom API models, there is a growing need to configure model reasoning levels and simulate specific CLI behaviors. dsh-experience-plugin aims to improve the operating experience in DSH through a unified configuration entry point and practical utilities.

This is a DSH feature plugin maintained by SouleyMoni1 and licensed under the MIT License. It mainly addresses the issues of fragmented model reasoning configuration, the need for CLI behavior simulation, and complex settings management.

Core Features

The plugin is organized by functional modules and includes the following capabilities:

  • Model Reasoning Level: Injects a reasoning level for custom API models.
  • CLI Request Simulation: Disguises DSH model requests as Codex / Claude Code / Grok CLI.
  • Message Timeline: Adds a message marker strip on the left side of the conversation page, supporting preview jumping.
  • Message Collapsing: Supports one-click collapse or expansion of the AI working process.
  • Open Folder: Opens the project directory through the workspace row menu.
  • Full-Screen Settings Page: Converts the settings dialog into a full-screen page and provides a background opacity toggle.
  • Auto-Load History: Automatically loads earlier conversation history when opening a session.
  • Global Instructions: Supports editing host global instructions (~/.dsh/AGENTS.md) in the settings page.
  • Module Toggles: Provides independent enable/disable controls for each functional module.

All configuration UI is consolidated under the “Daily Optimization” section in the settings page, which contains two tabs: “Plugin Settings” and “Module Toggles”.

Installation and Enablement

The plugin is published on npm. It is recommended to install it using the DSH plugin command:

dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-experience-plugin

It can also be installed directly via npm:

npm install dsh-experience-plugin

For local development installation on Windows across different drive letters, create a C drive junction first:

New-Item -ItemType Junction -Path "$env:USERPROFILE\.dsh\plugins\dsh-experience-plugin" -Target "<项目绝对路径>"

Then add it using the link method:

dsh plugin --profile web add link:C:/Users/<用户名>/.dsh/plugins/dsh-experience-plugin

Typical Usage

  1. CLI Request Simulation: In the “Daily Optimization” section of the settings page, disguise model requests as Codex, Claude Code, or Grok CLI to adapt to specific external tools.
  2. Settings Management: All configuration UI is consolidated under the “Daily Optimization” section in the settings page, which contains two tabs: “Plugin Settings” and “Module Toggles”.

Use Cases and Notes

This plugin is suitable for developers who need fine-grained control of model inference behavior, CLI output simulation, or unified management of DSH configuration.

Notes:
* The plugin runs with the current DSH process permissions; please inspect the source code and license before installing.
* For local development installation on Windows across different drive letters, establish a C drive junction first.

Through modular design, the plugin combines practical tools with a unified settings entry point, effectively optimizing the DSH user experience. The plugin directory and GitHub links are as follows:
